Association of Certified Fraud Examiners, South Africa (ACFE SA) and Xpert Decision Systems (XDS) sign a new Memorandum of Understanding

Combatting fraud on both public and private sector levels relies on skilled professionals who are equipped with the proper tools to prevent, detect, and investigate fraud.

The Association of Certified Fraud Examiners, South Africa Chapter (ACFE SA) and XDS have signed a Memorandum of Understanding in an effort to provide professionals with techniques and solutions that can be used in the anti-fraud industry.

The Association of Certified Fraud Examiners South Africa (ACFE SA) is a non-profit organisation registered in the Republic of South Africa, with registration number 1999/014 890/08. The ACFE SA is registered as a professional body in accordance with the National Qualification Framework Act.

XDS is one of the largest locally owned credit information bureaus in South Africa. As a Mettus-owned company, they are uniquely positioned to combine local knowledge with global best practices. XDS provides businesses with advanced fraud detection and prevention solutions, protecting their operations bottom line, and reputation from evolving threats.  They offer a  comprehensive suite of  credit information solutions and services, designed  for use across the entire business cycle. With this MoU agreement in place, ACFE SA members will have the opportunity to excel in the field of fraud examination through fraud-solution offerings that address prevention, detection, and investigation needs. XDS offers unique solutions and services that have been developed to assist with profiling and data analytics. These solutions aim to add value to professionals by improving investigative processes.

The goal of the MoU is to create synergy between the parties in their mutual objective of reducing white-collar crime across industries. Both parties have been at the forefront of the fight against fraud for over 20 years and this collaboration aims to add value to Certified Fraud Examiners (CFEs) and ACFE SA members who are dedicated to reducing fraud.

Through this MoU, the ACFE SA and XDS commit to collaborating in the fight against fraud and corruption across Southern Africa. By joining forces, both organisations will prioritise the professionalisation of the field and provide the essential tools and support needed for skilled and ethical professionals to conduct thorough investigations.

With the ACFE SA and XDS’s missions aligned, this partnership will grow from strength to strength in achieving the one mission both these entities have in mind – reducing white-collar crime in South Africa.
